Arkansas baseball's Kuhio Aloy exits TCU loss with hamstring injury

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arkansas baseball is already dealing with an injury to one of its key players after the second game of a young season.

Right fielder Kuhio Aloy was removed during the eighth inning of the No. 5 Razorbacks' (1-1) 5-4 loss to No. 10 TCU on Saturday, Feb. 14. Aloy hit his first home run of the season in the top of the seventh, but freshman Christian Turner replaced Aloy in right field to begin the bottom of the eighth.

Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said he saw Aloy limping as he ran around the bases after his home run, and the Hawaiian slugger is dealing with a hamstring injury.

"I don't want it to get worse," Van Horn said. "We didn't even know about it. Just a little tightness in his hamstring, and I just said it isn't worth losing him for a month for this one."

Through two games, Aloy is 3 for 8 with one homer, three RBIs and two runs while hitting fifth in the lineup. He led Arkansas with 70 RBIs in 2025.

If Aloy can't play on Sunday against Texas Tech, Turner could be in line for his first start. The Louisiana native impressed coaches throughout the preseason.
