This game featured two of the NFL’s biggest franchises. Green Bay jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the second quarter. Pittsburgh closed the gap to 21-17 in the third quarter. Aaron Rodgers stayed sharp and finished with 304 passing yards and three touchdowns. The Packers won 31-25 and claimed their fourth Super Bowl title. It was Rodgers’ only Super Bowl win.

A rematch of Super Bowl XLII, this game was tight from start to finish. New York forced a safety on its first defensive play and scored soon after to go up 9-0. New England answered with 10 straight points before halftime. The Patriots then took a 17-9 lead early in the third quarter. Eli Manning led another late drive and found Mario Manningham on a key pass. The Giants won 21-17 and Manning earned his second Super Bowl MVP.

This game became famous for one reason. New England trailed 28-3 late in the third quarter. Tom Brady led three touchdown drives and a field goal to force overtime. Atlanta failed to score again after building its big lead. The Patriots won 34-28 in the first overtime game in Super Bowl history. It remains the largest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Carolina entered the game with league MVP Cam Newton. Denver relied on defense and experience. Von Miller led a strong pass rush that forced turnovers. Peyton Manning guided the offense with short passes and careful play. The Broncos won 24-10 and earned their third Super Bowl title.

Seattle dominated from the opening snap. The Seahawks defense, known as the Legion of Boom, shut down Peyton Manning and forced multiple turnovers. The final score was 43-8. Malcolm Smith scored on defense and was named Super Bowl MVP. It was Seattle’s first Super Bowl title.

This game is remembered for its dramatic finish. Seattle led 24-14 entering the fourth quarter. Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes to give New England a 28-24 lead. Russell Wilson then moved Seattle to the 1-yard line late in the game. Instead of running the ball, the Seahawks called a pass. Malcolm Butler intercepted it in the end zone. The Patriots won their fourth Super Bowl.

Both quarterbacks had huge games. Jalen Hurts rushed for three touchdowns and threw for one. Patrick Mahomes passed for three touchdowns while playing on an injured ankle. Kansas City scored twice in the fourth quarter to win 38-35. Mahomes won his second Super Bowl MVP. The game was also the first Super Bowl with two Black starting quarterbacks.

This was the second overtime Super Bowl ever. San Francisco took an early 10-0 lead. Mahomes responded with a strong second half and overtime drive. He finished with 333 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and 66 rushing yards. Kansas City won and Mahomes earned his third Super Bowl title.
