Seattle Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV was given an opportunity to speak during the team's Super Bowl parade on Feb. 11. The 26-year-old started his speech with a warning for the crowd on hand.
"I'm gonna keep it a buck. I'm probably the last person they should've gave the mic to," Jones said. "But we finna turn up!"
Jones proceeded to give shouts to team owner Jody Allen, general manager John Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald.
Then, Jones turned his attention to his teammates, shouting them out in an expletive-filled tirade that took aim at Seattle's doubters.
"Shout out to these badass (expletive) who play this game the right way," Jones said, as his teammates cheered behind him. "Not only do we have the best defense in the world, we got the best team in the world."
"Quite frankly, if you got anything to say about my quarterback, you got anything to say about my defense, you got anything to say about my O-line and you got anything to say about the city of Seattle, I got two words for you," Jones added. "(Expletive) you!"
Jones' comments prompted another round of raucous shouts from his teammates amid Seattle's celebration of its Super Bowl 60 title.
Jones then capped off his speech by opining the Seahawks' title win over the New England Patriots would only be the start of long-term success for the franchise.
"We're here to stay, and we ain't going nowhere," he shouted.
