Feb. 9—FARGO, N.D. — The Bemidji State women's track and field team finished the North Dakota State Bison Open with eight personal-best marks and five student-athletes in the top 10 of their respective events.
The Beavers finished 11th overall, scoring 13 points from Sophie Rylance and Allison LaVine.
Rylance set yet another personal record, this time in the 600-meter run, finishing in 1:35.93 and taking second place. Also landing in the top 10, Jada Goeson finished ninth in the 1000-meter run, followed by Maggie McCarthy in 10th with a personal-best time.
LaVine's personal-best in the high jump, 1.59 meters, grabbed the freshman fourth place and earned BSU five points. Rounding out the top-ten lineup, Hannah Baker finished 10th in the weight throw with a distance of 15.30 meters.
Jayden Wodarz, Amelia Congrove, Hailey Selly, Maggie McCarthy and Kathryn Freymiller rounded out the personal-best finishers for BSU.
