It’s pretty safe to say that Notre Dame football will be having an influx of talent arrive on campus this spring.
The Irish signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country, with many of them already on campus getting prepared to contribute early. As far as the transfer cycle, while Notre Dame signed just eight players, they were all impact-types, and should do exactly that right away.
The massively successful offseason put Notre Dame in some rare air, as they are one of six teams according to Keegan Pope, that signed a top-15 recruiting and transfer class this cycle. It should come as no surprise that many believe that the Irish will make a return to the College Football Playoff in 2026, and the new players are a big reason why.
The returning stars which include quarterback CJ Carr and linebacker Drayk Bowen, still make up the main nucleus of the team, but no one is going to complain about brining in elite players to help them out.
Only 6 teams signed both a top-15 transfer class and a top-15 recruiting class in 2026.
