“ضربة كبيرة”

وقال سلوت إن خسارة المهاجم الفرنسي تمثل ضربة كبيرة، في ظل النقص الحالي في الخيارات الهجومية.

وأضاف المدرب الهولندي في تصريحات لشبكة “تي أن تي سبورتس”، ردا على سؤال حول ضرورة إنهاء الموسم بشكل قوي: “هناك دائما ضغوط في ليفربول، عليّ وعلى اللاعبين، وهذا أمر طبيعي تماما”.

وأردف “لقد تأهلنا إلى ربع نهائي كأس انكلترا ودوري أبطال أوروبا، لكن في الدوري علينا أن نضمن في النهاية التأهل إلى دوري الأبطال”.

وتابع “كانت هناك مباريات أخرى كان ينبغي أن نحصد فيها نقاطا أكثر، مثل مواجهة الأسبوع الماضي أمام توتنهام (تعادل 1-1)، وهذا أمر غير مقبول بدرجة أكبر من هذه النتيجة”.

وتقدّم برايتون في الدقيقة 14، عندما سجّل ويلبيك (35 عاما) هدفه الـ11 هذا الموسم بضربة رأس قريبة بعد عرضية من الباراغوياني دييغو غوميس.

وبات لاعب مانشستر يونايتد وأرسنال السابق، أفضل هداف إنكليزي في الدوري هذا الموسم.

وأدرك الضيوف التعادل بفضل يقظة الظهير الأيسر ميلوش كيركيز الذي استغل خطأ من القائد لويس دانك الذي أعاد كرة عالية لحارسه دون أن يتحقق من وجود المنافس خلفه، ليتقدم المجري ويضع الكرة فوق الهولندي بارت فيربروخن (30).

بدأ برايتون الشوط الثاني بقوة، وتمكن من استعادة التقدم عبر ويلبيك مجددا بعد تمريرة عرضية متقنة من الغامبي يانكوبا مينتيه هيأها جاك هينشلوود، قبل أن يؤكد حكم الفيديو المساعد صحة الهدف (56).

سباق مشتعل

وتجمّد رصيد ليفربول في المركز الخامس، بفارق نقطتين عن أستون فيلا، ونقطة واحدة أمام تشلسي الذي أهدر فرصة تجاوزه، مع شبه ضمان تأهل المراكز الخمسة الأولى إلى دوري الأبطال الموسم المقبل، ووسط صراع مشتعل عليها.

وعلى الرغم من تعثر دفاعه عن لقب الدوري مبكرا، لا يزال ليفربول منافسا في دوري الأبطال وسيلتقي مانشستر سيتي في ربع نهائي كأس إنكلترا مطلع الشهر المقبل.

ووجّه ايفرتون ضربة كبيرة لآمال تشلسي أيضا، بعد أن أسقطه بثلاثية نظيفة.

ويدين فريق المدرب الاسكتلندي ديفيد مويز بفوزه إلى ثنائية بيتو من غينيا-بيساو (30 و62)، في حين أضاف السنغالي إيليمان ندياي الثالث (76).

وهذه الخسارة الرابعة تواليا لفريق المدرب ليام روسينيور في مختلف المسابقات والثانية تواليا في الـ “برميرليغ”.

ودخل ايفرتون بقوة في سباق المشاركة القارية الموسم المقبل حيث يحتل المركز الثامن برصيد 46 نقطة، بفارق نقطتين عن تشلسي السادس وبفارق الأهداف عن برنتفورد السابع الذي أهدر فرصة ذهبية للتساوي مع تشلسي بتعادله أمام ليدز يونايتد من دون أهداف.

وأبقى فولهام أيضا على آماله بحجز أحد المقاعد المؤهلة إلى مسابقة قارية الموسم المقبل، بفوزه على بيرنلي 3-1.

وبعدما منح الهولندي زيان فليمينغ تقدما مفاجئا لبيرنلي (60)، نجح أصحاب الأرض في قلب تأخرهم بثلاثية تناوب على تسجيلها جوشوا كينغ (67) والويلزي هاري ويلسون (73) والمكسيكي راوول خيمينيس (90+5 من ركلة جزاء).

ورفع فولهام رصيده إلى 44 نقطة في المركز التاسع بفارق خمس نقاط عن ليفربول الخامس، وبفارق نقطة عن برايتون العاشر. أما بيرنلي فبقي متخلفا بفارق تسع نقاط عن منطقة الامان قبل سبع مراحل على نهاية الموسم.

Doha, Qatar: Team Qatar will make its debut at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans from June 10 to 14, marking a landmark moment for Qatari motorsport as the nation takes its place on the grid of one of the world’s most prestigious and demanding races.

The programme is delivered through a strategic partnership between Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Iron Lynx, alongside a collaboration with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, with Team Qatar set to compete in the LMGT3 category aboard the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport LMGT3.

Taking place from June 13 to 14 at Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France, the 24 Hours of Le Mans stands as the pinnacle event of endurance racing and the centerpiece of the FIA World Endurance Championship calendar. First held in 1923, the race tests drivers, teams, and manufacturers across an uninterrupted 24-hour contest where speed, reliability, strategy, and endurance determine success.

Team Qatar will arrive at Le Mans following a rapid rise in international endurance racing competition. In a short period, the programme has established itself through a series of standout performances across leading endurance championships and events.

Recent milestones include securing the 2025 24H Series Overall championship with victories in the 992 AM Drivers Championship, 992 AM Teams Championship and Overall 992 Teams Championship. Team Qatar also claimed victory in the 24 Hours of Dubai in the 992 AM category and continued its momentum into 2026 with category wins at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi and the 12 Hours of Mugello.

The team has also delivered strong performances in the European Le Mans Series campaign with pole positions in Barcelona and Paul Ricard in the LMGT3 category. At the season opener in Barcelona, Abdulla Al Khelaifi earned Most Valuable Driver honours after leading the race for more than seventy percent of the event before Team Qatar ultimately secured fourth position.

The Team Qatar lineup for Le Mans brings together Qatari driver Abdulla Al Khelaifi alongside Julian Hanses and Giuliano Alesi, combining international endurance racing experience with local talent on motorsport’s biggest stage.

DUBAI: Following several meetings held over the past few days between Dubai Basketball, the ABA League and Buducnost VOLI, it has been decided that the team will play the ABA League semifinals in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to the recent geopolitical events in the region, the first game of the semifinals series between Dubai Basketball and Buducnost VOLI will not be played at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai as initially planned.
