Houston Astros owner Jim Crane confirmed Monday that the team's playoff berth will be a factor in deciding manager Joe Espada's future, whose contract expires after the season.

Houston is in the postseason for the ninth time in 10 years, with Crane dismissing concerns about the general manager transition during their playoff push.
