Spencer Miles made his MLB debut memorable, earning his first career win in the Blue Jays' 8-7 walk-off victory. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out Athletics' Max Muncy in the top of the 11th inning and worked around a walk to keep the game tied.
After completing his first inning, Miles admitted he blacked out briefly. "You'll remember that name forever," veteran teammate Max Scherzer told him. Ernie Clement's hard single to left field in the bottom of the 11th secured the win, giving the Blue Jays their second straight walk-off to open the season.
