Brock Purdy's impressive numbers are backed by exceptional pass protection. The 49ers quarterback has not been sacked this season, the only starter to make that claim. His offensive line deserves credit, allowing pressure on just 22% of his dropbacks, a league-low rate. Purdy faces only nine quick pressures, tied for fewest in the NFL.
Despite the protection, Purdy has excelled when pressured. He's completed four passes when facing quick pressure (excluding screens), including an impressive jump throw from a collapsed pocket against the Rams. His average time-to-throw of 2.91 seconds ranks in the top five, and his 15.8% pressure rate at three seconds into a dropback is significantly better than the league average of 33.2%. ipltable.lol
