Chris Paul Retires After Raptors Waiver

NBA legend Chris Paul has announced his retirement minutes after being waived by the Toronto Raptors, ending a career that was supposed to conclude with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul, a 12-time NBA All-Star, had intended to play out his final season with the Clippers. However, disagreements within the team led to the veteran point guard being traded to Toronto, where he was promptly waived.

The announcement comes just minutes after the Raptors waived Paul, bringing an abrupt end to what was supposed to be a farewell tour with his original team.
