Commanders Hire Riggins, Green in New Roles

The Washington Commanders have announced that Hall of Fame running back John Riggins and cornerback Darrell Green will join the team in new capacities this season.

John Riggins will join the Commanders' preseason broadcast crew and be involved in special events. The team previously announced that Riggins' No. 44 jersey will be retired this season.

Darrell Green will work in community outreach for the team, focusing on getting fans and civic leaders on board with the new domed stadium planned for the former RFK Stadium site. The Commanders plan to move into the new facility for the 2030 season. iwanktv.club
