Eagles Promote VanGorder to Assistant QBs Coach

The Eagles are promoting Montgomery VanGorder to assistant quarterbacks coach, joining recently promoted Parks Frazier in the quarterbacks room.

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that VanGorder, who joined the Eagles last season as a quality control coach, will work alongside Frazier, who was elevated from passing game coordinator. The Eagles also brought in Sean Mannion from the Packers as new offensive coordinator.

The coaching staff will be tasked with helping Jalen Hurts find consistency after an inconsistent season. VanGorder played at Notre Dame from 2014-17 before finishing his collegiate career at Youngstown State in 2018.
