Fields Emerges as Giants Option

Justin Fields, traded from Jets to Chiefs as a Mahomes backup, has emerged as a potential option for the New York Giants. The team is expected to make a move as soon as Monday, with Jameis Winston's performance against the Titans being a factor.

The Giants could be seeking a backup for Winston or a replacement for injured starter Jaxson Dart. Fields signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Jets, with $10 million guaranteed for 2026. With Mahomes healthy, the Chiefs could recoup their 2027 sixth-round pick by unloading the remainder of Fields's salary. catcross.org
