Gary Woodland reveals PTSD battle after brain surgery

PGA Tour star Gary Woodland has opened up about his ongoing battle with post-traumatic stress disorder, a diagnosis he received shortly after undergoing brain surgery to remove a benign tumor.

Woodland underwent surgery in September 2023 to remove a lesion on his brain, which was discovered after he experienced symptoms including panic attacks, tremors, and chills. Following the procedure, he was diagnosed with PTSD in 2023.

Despite returning to the tour and winning the Houston Open in 2026, Woodland admitted to feeling "like I'm living a lie" due to his internal struggles.
