Hull KR beat Brisbane to win World Club Challenge

Hull KR withstood a second-half fightback from NRL champions Brisbane Broncos to win the World Club Challenge 30-24.

Hull KR dominated the first half with tries from Tom Amone, Elliot Minchella, Joe Burgess, Oliver Gildart and Peta Hiku to lead 30-4. Despite Brisbane scoring four unanswered tries in the closing stages, the Robins held on to become the first English club since 2007 to win the prestigious title.

The victory means Hull KR now hold all four major trophies, completing a treble that included the League Leaders' Shield and Challenge Cup. Debutant Amone opened the scoring, while Mikey Lewis' kicking game proved pivotal in the early stages.
