Hurley Rips UConn's Defense After Loss

UConn coach Dan Hurley harshly criticized his team's defense after a 91-84 loss to unranked Creighton, calling it 'a joke' and 'dreadful.'

Dan Hurley was displeased with UConn's defensive effort in the loss, stating 'The defense has been a joke' and noting 'bad individual defense' throughout the game. Creighton scored 45 first-half points as UConn struggled from the opening tip.

Despite the loss, freshman Braylon Mullins scored a game-high 25 points, though he missed part of the second half with an injury. UConn faces a challenging schedule with upcoming games against Villanova and St. John's.
