Jurgen Zomermaand of Development Team Picnic PostNL claimed victory in the third stage of the Tour du Rwanda on Tuesday, covering 145.3 kilometers from Huye to Rusizi. He finished ahead of compatriot Lucas Van Gils and teammate Matteo Vanhuffel.
This result allows Zomermaand to take the yellow jersey and lead the general classification. The peloton now prepares for the fourth stage, a 127.2-kilometer ride from Karongi to Rubavu scheduled for Wednesday.
