Chess legend and Kremlin critic Garry Kasparov (63) revealed that American and Lithuanian security services have warned both him and his colleague Ivan Tjutrin that they are on a Russian assassination list. "The news that I, together with my long-time colleague and co-founder of the Free Russia Forum, Ivan Tjutrin, am on a list of targets for assassination, came as no surprise to me, but it is still a shock," Kasparov stated on social media.
Kasparov and Tjutrin founded the Free Russia Forum in 2016, which supports the Ukrainian military and organizes anti-war conferences. Russia designated the forum as an "undesirable organization" in 2023 and added it to its "terrorist organizations" list in 2025. Kasparov's warning comes after the US Department of Justice in mid-September charged five alleged Russian intelligence agents with conspiring to carry out attacks and murders worldwide, including in the US. blablasex.es
