Kroenke Agrees to Buy Angels from Moreno

Stan Kroenke, owner of the Los Angeles Rams, has reached an agreement to buy the Los Angeles Angels from Arte Moreno. The transaction through Kroenke Sports and Entertainment is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to MLB approval. Moreno, who became MLB's first Latino owner in 2002, has stewarded the Angels for 23 years. The Angels won five AL West titles between 2004-2009 but later faced an 11-season playoff drought through 2026.
