Hermoso nears return from injury
Yesterday, the team trained in the morning, with the usual split: warm-down for those who played in Naples, technical work for everyone else.
After Koné, Roma hopes to recover Hermoso in the coming days, having been absent since the February 2nd match in Udine.
The Spaniard had to sit out due to a bruise on the instep of his right foot, which caused a nasty hematoma.
It took several days for him to even walk normally, and even more for him to tie his shoelaces again.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the hematoma is reabsorbing and the pain is disappearing.
The therapy has already been followed by a series of personalized sessions, and the next step will be the team’s return.
Hermoso is targeting Sunday’s match against Cremonese, although the coaching staff is confident on this front given Ghilardi’s strong performance.
The team will rest today, and from Wednesday onwards any time will be available, including for the return of Ferguson and El Shaarawy. Gasperini is gradually recovering all his injured players.
In March, in addition to the match against Juve, the Europa League round of 16 will also be played. It will be crucial to have the entire squad available, or almost, for the most important matches of the season.

It's time to crown champions in Florida high school soccer, with boys and girls titles up for grabs across seven classifications in a two-week span.
The Class 3A, 2A and 1A tournaments have the spotlight this week, with the semifinals and finals in each set to be played at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale.
The 3A final fours feature plenty of new blood, with only one of the eight semifinalists across the boys and girls tournaments (the Cardinal Gibbons girls) returning from last year. In 2A, the Lakeland Christian girls will look to return to the top after a semifinal exit last year snapped a string of four consecutive titles, and the Holy Trinity boys will look for one more win after falling in the final a year ago. In 1A, the perennial power St. Johns Country Day girls are looking for their 14th state title after taking the crown once again in 2025, while the Pine boys will try to lock up their third championship in four years.
It's shaping up to be a great couple weeks of soccer in the Sunshine State. Here's when and where to watch it all.
