RJ McCoy and Robert McKinney made history for Lafayette Jeff by becoming the first wrestlers from the school to reach the IHSAA state championship since 2021. McCoy placed third in the 150‑lb division and McKinney finished second in the 215‑lb bracket.
They join Southmont’s Gavin Mason, Lukas Scott, and Rossville champions Jacob Cole and Jacob Weaver, who will represent the Lafayette area at the state meet starting Friday. Coach Tom Miller celebrates the milestone as his 23‑year career ends.
