Reaves left Thursday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder with a rib or back injury but returned to finish with 15 points. Coach JJ Redick clarified that the injury is more intercostal or rib-related than back-related. A second MRI was performed because the Mavericks originally scanned the wrong area. Although not ruled out, Reaves' status for Sunday remains uncertain pending the results.

Marcus Smart's ankle injury status is also to be determined ahead of the matchup.
