At the Feb. 21 District 7‑4A semifinal at Beech High School, a tribute table honored 17‑year‑old Lebanon star Jayden Bailey, who died Feb. 19 after a four‑year cancer battle. The table displayed a photo of Bailey holding a basketball, his left‑arm amputation scar visible, and a QR code linking to a GoFundMe page set up to help his family with medical costs.
Lebanon’s team played the game, winning 46‑44, and coach Jim McDowell and senior Marques Anglin spoke of Bailey’s presence and determination. The team’s victory was seen as a tribute to his spirit, though funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
