The Mexican national team has announced their squad for the friendly match against Iceland, which will take place in Querétaro on Thursday, February 25. This serves as the first preparation game of the year leading up to the 2026 World Cup.

Manager Jaime Lozano called up 23 players exclusively from Liga MX. The goalkeeping trio consists of Malagón, Rangel, and Acevedo. The defensive line includes Reyes, Ledezma, Campillo, Guzmán, Garza, López, and Gallardo. Midfield options are Sánchez, Alexis Gutiérrez, Brian Gutiérrez, Lira, Rodríguez, García, and Ruiz. The forwards looking to secure spots are Efraín Álvarez, Roberto Alvarado, Armando González, and Guillermo Martínez.
