Pellegrino scores 1 goal, 2 assists in San Diego's 5-0 opener

Amahl Pellegrino recorded a goal and two assists to lead San Diego FC to a 5-0 victory over CF Montreal in the MLS season opener on Saturday night.

Eighteen-year-old Duran Ferree made his MLS debut with two saves, while Christopher McVey opened the scoring. Tomas Aviles received a straight red card in the 50th minute, forcing Montreal to play a man down for the remainder of the match.

San Diego dominated possession (64%) and outshot Montreal 12-6, with Valakari, Ingvartsen, and Zamblé also making their debuts.
