Philadelphia Prepares for NCAA Tournament Opening Rounds

Philadelphia is set to host the first two rounds of the NCAA men's basketball tournament at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, with all games already sold out.

The city anticipates a surge of over 60,000 fans this weekend, including visiting teams. This marks the 29th time Philadelphia has hosted March Madness since 1939.

PHL Sports Executive Director Larry Needle highlighted the city's role as a central hub for a major four-month stretch of high-profile events, including the PGA Championship, World Cup, and MLB All-Star Game.
