Porter Jr. Makes Cowboys Debut

Published October 4, 2026 · Updated October 4, 2026 · NBC Sports

Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will make his first appearance of the season for the Cowboys on Sunday after joining the team in a trade with the Steelers.

Porter was listed with a back injury while in Pittsburgh, but his contract dispute was seen as the true reason for his inactivity. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Porter is expected to play limited snaps against the Texans, a move welcomed by a Cowboys defense that has struggled for consistency this season. chickenroadslot.lat
