Hall of Famer Chris Pronger, a Stanley Cup champion, Olympic gold medallist and Hart/Norris Trophy winner, is releasing his memoir 'Earned: The True Cost of Greatness' next week. The 51-year-old former NHL defenseman, known for his aggressive play that resulted in eight suspensions and a puck-stopping his heart, discussed the book, player discipline and NHL job opportunities in a recent interview.
Pronger, who has worked for the NHL's Department of Player Safety and as a senior advisor for the Florida Panthers, is now focusing on TV work and leadership coaching. He explained how the book came together after years of consideration and serves as a 'calling card' for his speaking platform, where he shares his experiences while taking accountability for past mistakes.
