Ronda Rousey disclosed in an ESPN interview that she reached out to UFC President Dana White about booking a fight with Gina Carano in the promotion, but "it didn't exactly work out with the UFC."
Instead, Rousey will face Carano at 145 pounds in a bout airing on Netflix and promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions. The fight marks Rousey's return to MMA nearly a decade after she last competed, having left the sport in 2016 following two consecutive knockout losses.
