Saint Louis Wins 18th Straight, Beats Loyola 86-59

No. 18 Saint Louis extended its winning streak to 18 games with a convincing 86-59 victory over Loyola of Chicago on Friday night.

Trey Green and Ishan Sharma each scored 14 points to lead the Billikens (24-1, 12-0 Atlantic 10), who matched the 2013-14 team for the best A10 start in school history. Quentin Jones added 12 points, and Amari McCottry had 11 for Saint Louis.

The Billikens pulled away midway through the second half and now hold a two-game lead over Virginia Commonwealth in the A10 with six games remaining. Loyola (6-20, 2-11) received 12 points from Justin Moore and a career-high 11 from Daniil Glazkov.
