Shaidorov Wins Gold as Malinin Crumbles

Mikhail Shaidorov of Kazakhstan captured men's figure skating gold at Milan-Cortina 2026, while Ilia Malinin fell twice and finished eighth.

Shaidorov skated cleanly to win Kazakhstan's first Winter Olympic gold in 32 years, beating Japan's Yuma Kagiyama (silver) and Shun Sato (bronze).

Malinin, the 'Quad God', fell twice during his free skate, missing the medals and finishing eighth after a disastrous performance.
