Igor Shesterkin made 22 saves and fought Jacob Markstrom in a rare goalie altercation as the New York Rangers defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-1.

Conor Sheary and J.T. Miller scored first-period goals, and Jaroslav Chmelar and Mika Zibanejad added markers in the victory. The Rangers snapped a rough home stretch with the win, keeping slim playoff hopes alive for the Devils, who had six wins in their last nine games.
