Shiffrin Wins Second Olympic Slalom Gold, 12 Years After First

Mikaela Shiffrin captured her second Olympic slalom gold in the 2026 Games, finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Camille Rast. The 30‑year‑old became the first U.S. skier to win three Olympic gold medals.

Shiffrin's two‑run time of 1:39.10 secured the gold, the largest winning margin in Olympic alpine skiing since 1998. She broke an eight‑year Olympic hoodoo and added a third gold to her tally.

Sweden's Anna Swenn Larsson took bronze, while Switzerland's Wendy Holdener finished fourth. The rest of the field trailed by at least two seconds.
