Steelers Sign Washington to 4-Year Extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms with tight end Darnell Washington on a four-year extension worth $42 million with $21 million guaranteed.

Washington, selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has shown consistent improvement during his time with the Steelers. As a rookie, he primarily served as a blocker with just seven receptions for 61 yards.

The 6'7" tight end increased his production each subsequent season, catching 19 passes for 200 yards in 2024 and 31 receptions for 364 yards in 2025. Despite the presence of Pat Freiermuth, Washington has played over 500 offensive snaps in each of his first three seasons with the team. sportnewz.click
