Former UConn star Emeka Okafor has joined an exclusive club as his jersey number was officially retired by the men's basketball program. The honor makes Okafor only the third player in UConn history to receive such recognition.
Okafor, who led the Huskies to the 2004 NCAA championship, joins Ray Allen and Donyell Marshall as the only players to have their numbers retired by the program. The 6-foot-10 center was a dominant force during his collegiate career, earning consensus first-team All-America honors and the Naismith Award as the nation's top player.
