Vålerenga Signs New Goalkeeper Lønning

Vålerenga has signed 23-year-old goalkeeper Sander Lønning from Egersund on a 3.5-year contract, beating competition from Sandefjord.

23-year-old goalkeeper Sander Lønning has completed a move from Egersund to Vålerenga, with the Oslo club confirming the transfer on their website. Both Vålerenga and Sandefjord had offers accepted for the young keeper, but Lønning ultimately chose Vålerenga.

"I'm really looking forward to getting started and getting to know the team and club better. Vålerenga has Norway's best supporters, and I'm very much looking forward to getting the chance to play in front of the East Stand," said Lønning. The goalkeeper, who has a Norwegian father and Swedish mother, holds both Norwegian and Swedish citizenship. afsport.lat
