Tahir, Pretorius strike as Amazon Warriors extend unbeaten CPL run

Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Trinbago Knight Riders – Warriors won by nine runs (DLS method)

Dwaine Pretorius struck early, removing Sunil Narine for just 1 as Trinbago Knight Riders chased a revised target of 182. Imran Tahir, captaining the side, finished with 1-38 from his four overs, bowling Justin Greaves, and also took a sharp catch to help dismiss Colin Munro off Mohammad Nabi’s bowling.

The result was built on Shimron Hetmyer’s remarkable unbeaten 111 off 43 balls, which took Guyana Amazon Warriors to 185-5 from their rain-reduced 16 overs. Nabi did the damage with the ball in the chase, taking 3-20, as Alex Hales’ 55 and Nicholas Pooran’s 43 fell just short.

The win kept Guyana unbeaten in four matches and moved them up to second on the CPL 2026 points table.

Jamaica Kingsmen vs Trinbago Knight Riders – Kingsmen won by seven runs (DLS method)

Half-centuries from Colin Munro, Sunil Narine and Nicholas Pooran took Trinbago Knight Riders to 180-6, but Jamaica Kingsmen were ahead of the DLS par score on 127-3 when rain ended the contest for good, sealing a seven-run win built on contributions from Keacy Carty (42) and Kirk McKenzie (30).

The result lifted Kingsmen to second on the table before Guyana’s later win moved them above.
