Oklahoma safety Robert Spears-Jennings is one of 10 Sooners participating in activities at the NFL scouting combine this week in Indianapolis. On Friday, Spears-Jennings impressed draft analysts with an incredible 4.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
As of this writing, that's tied for the second fastest 40-yard dash time at this year's NFL combine. Only Ohio State's Lorenzo Styles Jr. has run a faster time at 4.27 seconds.
A former four-star signee out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Spears-Jennings was a two-year starter for the Sooners over the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He joined the Sooners out of the 2022 recruiting class and was a big part in Oklahoma's defensive transformation under Brent Venables.
In 2025, Spears-Jennings finished third on the team in tackles and was second on the team in tackles in 2024. He totaled 178 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, two interceptions, had four pass deflections, and forced five fumbles in his Sooners career.
