Bills' ideal WR draft target KC Concepcion has special connection to Buffalo, Rochester originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
KC Concepcion would check a lot of the boxes the Buffalo Bills need at the wide receiver position.
Beyond that, though, the Texas A&M star and potential 2026 first-round NFL Draft pick has some awesome connections to Western New York, both Buffalo and Rochester.
Concepcion's dad, Kevin, was born in Rochester and played a season of college football for the University of Buffalo in 2002. Kevin was a cornerback and picked off two passes in 12 games.
KC was also born in Rochester, he told reporters Friday at the NFL Combine after having already met with the Bills in Indianapolis.
“I was actually born in New York, 585," Concepcion said, referencing Rochester's area code. “I moved out to Charlotte when I was about 5. The Bills are actually my dad’s favorite team. So I’ve been watching them since I was young. I’ve been seeing Josh Allen, he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league. I would be grateful (to get drafted by the Bills).”

Concepcion, a 5-foot-11 wide receiver, played two seasons at North Carolina State before coming to Texas A&M for 2025. He had 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns in the most recent campaign.
Before college, Concepcion had grown into a star in Charlotte at Chambers High School, where they won back-to-back state championships and he developed into a four-star recruit.
Now, Concepcion wouldn't mind heading back to his WNY roots. He'd certainly be exactly what the Bills need.
