The 2025 NFLPA Report Cards have been revealed. On Thursday, Kalyn Kahler of ESPNshared the grades from all 32 NFL teams, including Buffalo's.
While much of the buzz this past week surrounded the 2026 NFL Combine, the big news here is that the Bills improved from their grades last season.
In six categories, to be exact. Training room, training staff, strength coaches, head coach, and ownership. Team travel was their biggest area of improvement from 2025 to 2026, jumping from an F- to a B-.
Players had previously taken issue with coaches being seated in first class while players were limited to more confined seating. It's not known what the specific changes made were.
One grade was an F, but it was a moot point at this moment in time. Buffalo's artificial turf home field at their now former stadium. Their new one will feature grass. Otherwise, their lowest grade was a B-.
Few grades dropped slightly, and they included treatment of families (B+ to a B), and the team’s strength coaches (A to a B+.)
The Bills fell in the middle of the league with an overall ranking of No. 16. They were ninth in 2023, 11th in 2024, and 23rd in 2025.
Offensive coordinator Joe Brady earned an A- before becoming head coach, and GM Brandon Beane an A- before also becoming President of Football Operations.
It's also worth noting that their former coaches also saw good grades.
Former head coach Sean McDermott improved from a B last year to an A- this year, while former defensive coordinator Bobby Babich received a B, and former special teams coordinator Chris Tabor a B+.
The NFL won a grievance two weeks ago against the NFL Players Association that sought to prevent the union from publishing the player report card results. For the union, the exposure is a means of public accountability to help motivate teams to improve in needed areas. The grades have been collected every year since 2023.
