Ingram, who compiled a 104-22 record over 11 seasons with three state championships, decided against other area vacancies to return to the Hornets. The former All-SEC performer led Hawthorne to a Rural state championship in 2025 and has never overseen a losing campaign at the school.
The decision comes after Ingram's name was heavily linked to openings in the Gainesville region, with programs at Bradford and Williston ultimately hiring different coaches. Hawthorne will compete in the FHSAA's 1A classification this fall.
