Lincoln Stuns No. 2 O'Dea in Regional Basketball

Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed, pulled off a stunning 71-58 upset over No. 2 O'Dea in the Class 3A state tournament regional round on Saturday.

The Tacoma-based team answered Seattle's Metro League dominance by defeating the favored Irish at Bellevue College. Led by sophomores Justus Holt's 23 points and Davion Shareef-Dulaney's 22 points, Lincoln never trailed after building an early lead.

O'Dea, which had only lost in-state to No. 1 Rainier Beach this season, struggled offensively throughout the game. The win gives Lincoln a bye into the 3A state tournament quarterfinals next Thursday at the Tacoma Dome, with the team looking to continue their surprising run.
