No. 21 Miami stays unbeaten with win over Eastern Michigan

No. 21 Miami remained perfect with a 74-64 victory at Eastern Michigan, staying the only unbeaten team in Division I basketball.

Brant Byers led four RedHawks in double figures with 16 points as Miami improved to 28-0 overall and 15-0 in the Mid-American Conference. Antwone Woolfolk scored 14 points, while Peter Suder recorded a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, also reaching his 1,500th career point.

The RedHawks built a 43-22 halftime lead and stretched it to as much as 26 points before Eastern Michigan made a late run. Miami responded with key baskets down the stretch, including a three-pointer from Byers and a dunk from Woolfolk to seal the victory. The RedHawks will travel to Western Michigan for their next game on Friday at 6 p.m.
