Scheffler plays down Pebble Beach comeback chances

Scottie Scheffler posted a 6-under 66 but played down his chances of a Pebble Beach comeback after falling nine shots behind the leaders.

Scheffler finished Friday's round with a bogey-free back nine, including three birdies and an eagle, narrowing the gap on the leaders.

Despite the improvement, the world number one admitted it will likely take two special rounds to catch up, while acknowledging his iron play remains a work in progress.
