Townsend Treated During Flight to NRL Vegas Opener

Premiership winner Chad Townsend required medical treatment during a flight to Las Vegas for the NRL season opener.

The 35-year-old Cronulla Sharks star was en route to Sin City for Sunday's NRL matches between Cowboys vs Knights and Bulldogs vs Dragons when the 'scary' ordeal occurred.

Townsend, a premiership winner with the Sharks, needed to be treated by a doctor mid-flight as the team prepared for the start of the new NRL season.
