Tyce Armstrong Hits 3 Grand Slams in Baylor Debut

Baylor first baseman Tyce Armstrong tied an NCAA record by hitting three grand slams in his debut, leading the Bears to a 15-2 mercy-rule victory over New Mexico State.

Armstrong, a redshirt senior who transferred from UT Arlington, blasted a low curveball, an inside fastball and a high fastball for grand slams in the third, fourth and seventh innings. The 15-2 win was the first game of Baylor’s 2026 season.

He finished the game hitting .750 with 12 RBI and a hit‑by‑pitch, and said, “I’m speechless. It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever been a part of.”
