Massara prior to Juve match: “We want to make the leap in quality tonight.”

Much of the race for next season’s Champions League depends on the Stadio Olimpico. Roma hosts Juventus in the big match of Serie A’s Matchday 27.

Pre-match, Roma sporting director Frederic Massara spoke to DAZN.

Massara began by discussing the renewal situation at Roma: “We’re in contact with all the agents. There are no particular developments at the moment; we remain focused on the league. However, we know we can count on players who are loyal to Roma and have never wavered in their commitment. Cristante and Mancini’s contracts expire in 2027, so they have a little more time, but these are ongoing situations, and we’ll let you know when there’s any news.”

Massara then focused on Gasperini’s lineup: “The coach prepared for the match this way, but I don’t think the team’s attitude will change. Gasperini has set a clear tone; the aggression and proactive approach will be present in every match, regardless of the players.”

Finally, he had his say on the head-to-head matches and the match against the Bianconeri: “We’ve never been lacking in performances in head-to-head matches, and tonight would be a great opportunity to make a leap in quality. We’ve always put in positive performances. Tonight will be a great match, and it will be played in a beautiful setting. We’re all happy.”
