McLaughlin Secures IndyCar Pole at St. Petersburg

Scott McLaughlin secured the pole position for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, marking a strong start to the NTT IndyCar Series season opener.

McLaughlin turned in a lap of 1:00.5426 in his No. 3 DEX Chevrolet, topping the 14-turn circuit at 107.032 mph. Describing the result as "bloody good," the driver looks to bounce back from a difficult 2025 season.

Teammate Marcus Ericsson will start alongside him on the front row, while rookie Dennis Hauger finished third, beating Alex Palou in the Firestone Fast Six.
